Dam & Water Level UpdateLake update:
08/26/2016: Most of you have received literature from the Blue Canoe program but not sure if you have seen the survey in the information package. I have included the Survey link here. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/bluecanoe Should only take 10 to 15 minutes to complete. 08/01/2016: It was recommended that information about the dam as well as pictures be posted more regularly. Below are drawings of the original dam drawings to show how it was built. Basic concept of retaining water. If the water gets to high, it flows over the top. 07/19/2016 Currently the water level is 18" below the top of the dam. The water level is 9" below the top of the top boards that are in the dam. Water is not flowing over the dam, but it is holding and we are not loosing any more water. We (no one on the lake) according the Ministry is allowed to touch the dam so it is, as is at this time. Adding more wood at this time will not improve the situation as the water is not cresting the top at the moment. |
